Benefits of the Trident boat:

- Proven hull shape – winner of two European Champions
- Higher foredeck/spinnaker sock helps reduce 3D endflow from the bottom of the jib.
- Drainage holes in transom allow shipped water to escape.
- Storage compartment useful for sponge, food, anchor, etc...
- Daggerboard case allows the use of different daggerboards
- Option of centremain or transom main thwart - If transom sheeting is employed the moulding that holds the mainsheet block/cleat wont be present, so it wont get in the way.

Changes to Trident Mk4

- Shroud blocks removed - hull reinforced - looks sleeker
- Hole in skeg removed - better hydrodynamics
- Thwart option for centremain
- Drain holes removed from fore and aft tanks
- Lower section of 2-pce mast has track raised to accommodate gnav
