Why a Trident Drysuit works better than a Wetsuit? The best way to keep warm, is to keep dry. This reduces your heat loss, helping to keeping you warm and comfortable -
A Trident Drysuit will keep your dry.
A drysuit by design is a loose fit, a wetsuit, to keep you warm, has to be a good fit.
A drysuit is easy to put on, is light to wear and non restrictive.
Does a Drysuit keep you warm?
No! It is your body processes that keep you warm & clothing provides the insulation to preserve your warmth. Points to note are
1 - Layered thickness is warmth.
2 - Dry clothes insulate better than wet/damp ones.
3 - Keeping your torso, warm (and dry) will help send heat to the extremities.
4 - Use your head. Keep it covered before you're cold. If your feet are cold, put a hat on!
What materials are the Drysuits manufactured from?
Trident Drysuits are manufactured from a 4oz nylon with a breathable hydrophilic coating, which has been thoroughly tested in the labs and on the water for 2 years before putting into production. It has -
hard wearing characteristics
high tear and abrasion resistance
does not absorb water, reducing the windchill.
increased breathability
How can I make sure I order the correct size?
Check o.ur Size Chart below, it is an accurate guide for all. The braces and elasticated waist help to fit the Drysuit comfortably. But if you have any doubts call the Sales Team and they will advise you.
Which are best Latex or Neoprene Seals?
Latex are more waterproof and can be cut down to fit
Neoprene are warmer - but not so stretchy
What are the Pros & Cons of a Front or Back Zip Drysuit?
A Front is easy to do up, more convenient for males, but can get in the way and if wearing a harness, digging in on the bottom end on the thigh.
A Back is easier to put on, out of the way, but usually have to have someone to do and undo the zip
