Allows one Topper to be stacked on top of a Laser for towing or storage purposes. Excellent alternative to a double stacker.

The foam is designed specifically to the class of boat

This dinghy stacker allows you to carry one Topper on top of one Laser on a standard trailer safely and securely.

Designed to allow you to go on holiday with more than one boat without having to buy an expensive double stacking trailer. This now unit now allows you to tow two dinghies (a Laser & a Topper) on a single trailer. It could also be used to store these boats safely say over the winter but only take up one space in your garage.

It works in a similar manner to the Lazy bones spar carrier, but has a wider boat specific offering giving more support. It contains four parts, so you place the supports on the boat, place the spars on top, followed by the remaining supports and then the second boat. Made from rigid foam and the two halves are locked together with dovetail joints.

Features

  • Allows one Topper to be stacked on top of a Laser to be transported on a normal trailer.
  • Will hold 8 spars in between the boats.
  • Made from foam, giving the best protection to your boats.
  • Extra holes can be cut out to accommodate storing tubes if you roll up your sails.
  • Less petrol is used when towing as the trailer is lighter than a stacking trailer.
  • Wind resistance is low as it lies neatly behind the car.

Useful notes

  • Securing spars in Dinghystacker; Use a bungee strap woven round the spars to prevent them moving. See photo

Note about the Topper

  • The holes are cut out with the smallest at the middle and getting bigger moving to the outside.
  • Spacers are provided for the top mast spar and boom-see photo.
  • The Topper cradle is designed to fit with the additional pressure of the straps when tied down on to the trailer. This makes a more secure and stable fixing.

Note about the Laser

  • Use a bungee strap woven round the spars to prevent them moving. See photo
  • The holes are cut out with the smallest at the middle and getting bigger moving to the outside.
  • Place the spars in the following order-top mast spar then boom-then bottom mast spar (Radial) and /or bottom mast spar (Standard)
  • This is because the Standard bottom mast spar is slightly thicker that the Radial bottom mast spar.
