Includes a 6mm rope spliced onto seasure V cleat block with bead handle on the end. The boom end has a plastic covered wire strop with a stainless steel kicker key (key can be removed if your boom doesn't have a suitable key attachment, if your boom has an eye attachment you will then need a shackle).
The lower block incorporates a clevis pin shackle which could be used to attach to the mast but depending on preference and the direction of your mast eye you may require either an additional shackle or a twisted shackle.

Customer Questions
Hi, this would depend on the distance the two blocks are mounted from one another, however this item is supplied with less than 6 metres of rope so you may need to replace the rope to get the desired length. Best Regards, Kieran Parslow

Hi JonIt comes with a key to fit to the boom but this could be removed and replaced for a shackle if you don't have a key hole on the boom. The lower block has a cleat so the kicker is self contained. If you have spare cleats on your deck you could try a different approach and lead the kicker back to the cockpit? If you like this idea or would like to discuss your requirements further please give us a callRegardsDavid

Hi Nicholas Yes it will just about work on a GP14. A racing boat would have a 16:1 to give total control of the leach over the wind strengths so it depends on your expectations and what you want to spend. You could use this system with a single cascade above it to double it's purchase? I hope that helpsRegardsDavid

Hi Danny It could work however the Miracle kicker in my experience is 8 or 16:1 on a cascade system with the cleats on the thwart If you need any help sorting bits out it may be easier to call Regards David

Hi George, 4:1 is probably too powerful, a 2:1 might be better

Hi Allan This is a dinghy kicking strap, you will need something much more substantial and I would look at a greater purchase if you want the kicker to be effective. If you want to email me a picture of what attachments you have around the base of the mast, coach roof and what's on the boom I'll look to see what options and prices there are. Regards David

Hi James I'm not sure what fitting is on the boom of a Leisure 23SL but I'm sure you could fit it with a bit of fiddling if the key fitting isn't right. This would be a very basic kicker for that boat and unless you are really stuck on a budget I'd look at something with a cam cleat with a bit more purchase. The angle of the kicker is shallow on your boat so a bit more purchase will help you control the leech and when under load the cam cleat will release much easier than the V cleat. Have a look at Holt 57mm Fiddle Swivel Block with Cam Cleat and Becket, use that with the Holt 57mm Fiddle Swivel Block, this will give you a 4:! purchase with less friction and a cleat that is easier to use under load, I would then fit a Holt 39mm Single Fixed Block to the boom run a line from the kicker attachment point at the base of the mast, through the new block on the boom and tie the end to the Holt 57mm Fiddle Swivel Block so the 4:1 set up is working under a 2:1 purchase doubling up the 4:1 to make an 8:1. This setup is likely to be around £200ish If you need me to draw a picture let me know Regards David
