1. Bill Robertson asks 11 Dec 2018

Do you sell dinghy boots to wear with Dry Launching trousers?

1. David Shilling answers 13 Nov 2018

Hi Bill
Yes we do and what works best is a wetsuit boot a size larger than you would normally take and they will need an opening down the side with a zip or laces which enables you to put them on and take them off again
I hope that helps
David

2. Donna asks 11 Jun 2017

What hip size is small broad please?

1. David Shilling answers 7 Nov 2017

Hi Donna
The small broad is to suit about 42 inches on the hips.
The trousers should accommodate a hip measurement slightly larger if measurements around the hips are less
Any questions please let us know or if it's easier you could call us on 0191 4901736
Regards

3. Malcolm Chalmers asks 16 Jan 2017

Hi, sounds ideal for use in a RIB for launching etc, but would they be safe if accidentally falling overboard<

4. Georgina asks 25 Nov 2016

My son drives RIB for university sailing team, launching from stoney beach. Think these would be good idea for him - l presume he would need to wear some footwear as well so wouldn't wear holes in the attached socks?? (Wellies would fill with water obviously so thinking his Zhik dinghy shoes??). He is 6'3" but with very slim 32" waist, probably needs large for the length but maximum medium for body fit?? Would appreciate advice on footwear and fit. Many thanks.

1. David Gebhard answers 25 Nov 2016

Hi, You're right, footwear does need to be worn as the latex socks will get damaged easily. A pair of conventional dinghy boots will work fine.

As regards sizing I would suggest large, which might be a bit baggy but will be more suited in the leg length. The other option is to go for a made to measure set which will cost an additional £35 and can be found here;

5. Michael Cox asks 23 May 2016

I am thinking of ordering a medium broad launching trousers, do you have any info on the equivalent shoe size(range)
I am 5'10, 34/36 waist.

1. David Shilling answers 23 May 2016

Hi Michael, It has a large sock fitted which probably fits about size 8-12.
The way to fit them is pull the sock on so your toes are at the end and then any lose material goes around the ankle.
Regards
David Shilling

What size launching trousers please?
I'm 39 inch chest and my height is 5 ft 11 inches
Thanks,

1. Kieran Parslow answers 9 Apr 2014

Hi Tim, to make sure we advise the correct size, please could you also supply your hip measurement (the measurement round your widest part, rather than the usual waist measurement for trousers). Many thanks, Kieran Parslow

8. Thomas Tong asks 1 Jan 1970

Just wonder that would it work well with dinghy smock for the effect of waterproof ? Would the bottom of smock, neoprene stick with the dry trousers tightly ?

thanks,

Thomas

1. Jake Gebhard answers 1 Jan 1970

Hi Thomas and thanks for your question.

This combination would be 'splash proof' and 'rain proof' however it would not be waterproof. If you were submerged fully into the water you will get wet.
If you are looking for a waterproof solution I would recommend a Drysuit.

I hope this helps.
Regards
Jake

9. george taylor asks 1 Jan 1970

Hi could you supply a set of m/b launching trousers with a 42 sock at the normal price?
Thanks

1. David Shilling answers 26 Mar 2018

Hi George
The medium broad will have a large sock on as standard which would fit a range from about 40 to 46
You can order the custom launching trousers and specify a medium sock which is the same price, the only difference is it changes the T&C's of sale as you are not ordering an off the shelf item.
Link to custom trousers below

I hope that helps
