FABRIC

RTX400H

  • The Outer Layer is a durable, abrasion resistant nylon which is treated with DWR (Durable Water Repellency).
  • The Midlayer is a microporous PU membrane which transfers vapour molecules from the inner layer to outer layer.
  • The Inner Knitted scrim layer is a soft nylon which is high wicking and has “easy slip” properties, sliding over the garments that are worn under the Drysuits ie. no snagging or dragging over knees etc. when you are moving around.

  1. Jeremy Scott-Maber asks about Trident Orbit Front Zip Sailing Drysuit 1 Jan 1970

    Hi,
I am 5.8 but a 42 inch chest as I am a paddler. I'd like to get one for both Kayaking and SUP but I would like to avoid the usual suit that is too big. Whats the best fit for both off the shelf considering sitting in a kayak tends to take up a bit of slack.
    Cheers

    1. David Shilling answers 30 Jan 2019

      Hi Jeremy,
Before we tidied up our size guide to make it easier to read the medium broad would have read 5'8"-5'10" tall with 42"-44" chest. Yes you are towards the lower end of those measurements so will find some loose material but when you put the suit on expel the air and any extra fabric will be held in place until you stretch and the additional fabric is needed.
If the suit it too well fitted you may soon find problems where you stress the seams and the taping which could cause the suit to leak.
The suit has pre-bent knees and there is extra material in the back so is comfortable standing up or when you are bent over
      I hope that helps
      David

    H.

I am 6.1 with a 46.5 in chest and 39 in waste thinking xxl.

I also have size 12 feet would the socks in suit be big enough

    1. David Shilling answers 18 Mar 2019

      Hi Steve
Yes I think an XXL would be the best place to start and by the looks of it fit fine.
The socks on the XXL are bigger than the XL suit and from personal experience both will fit size 12
      Regards
      David

  4. Gene Foster asks about Trident Orbit Front Zip Sailing Drysuit 1 Jan 1970

Hi, I am 44 inch chest ,so is the Trident Orbit size 44'' chest going to have enough room for me to wear warm undergarments please ? I am 5' 10'' so I'm not sure that the larger size would be right for me !
    Thanks and Regards, Gene.

    1. David Shilling answers 21 Aug 2017

      Hi Gene
44 inches is a size guide and we make the suits to comfortably fit someone up to that size and we would expect clothing to be worn underneath

      David

  5. warren asks about Trident Orbit Front Zip Sailing Drysuit 1 Jan 1970

Hi, The Trident orbit front zip style , is it possible to have a pee by unzipping or do you have to remove the suite.

    1. David Shilling answers 29 Aug 2017

      Hi Warren
It could be possible to pee out of the front zip without taking it off but it depends how the suit fits and how flexible you are. You may need to drop it off your shoulder to drop the zip low enough if you are towards the top end of it's fitting range so not ideal if you are trying to do it in a dinghy.
A fly zip can be fitted for £45 through our custom suit
      Regards
      David Shilling
