Customer Questions
Hi Douglas,You need to find the balance point of the boat with the engine on and then measure forward to where it the bow is likely to meet the bow snubber. You want a trolley a little longer to put a little weight on the nose. I would guess our Heavy Duty Trolley for 18 ft 6 would be favourite which measures about 3150mm from cradle to bow support.Once we find a suitable trolley we can then look at customising it to suit your needsI hope that helpsDavid

Hi Paul, the box section used for the side arms and axle is 40mm x 40mm. Thanks, David.

Hi ChristinaThe wider wheels will help spread the load in soft sand. The size and weight of the trolley is fine for the boat but you may want to look at bigger trolley to get the balance right. To do this you will need to find the balance point of your boat with the engine on and order a trolley slightly longer. When the boat is well balanced on the trolley is is easy to manoeuvre, if you order a trolley too short the boat will always tip backwards, if the trolley is too long there will be too much weight on the front and even with the nose wheel it could be difficult to move about. You can see the trolley dimensions in the extra images of the productI hope that helpsRegardsDavid Shilling

For an inflatable the boat needs to be supported by the transom as the tubes do not have the rigidity of a rigid boat. The length of trolley therefore needs to be much longer, with a T40 the measurement from the bow to the transom is about 3.4m so the trolley needs to be that length. The trolley also needs to be wide enough to support the tubes. Our Inflatable Boat Trolley https://www.tridentuk.com/gb/large-inflatable-dinghy-launching-trolley-trtra165ltinf.html has been designed with these factors in mind, however it's not big enough but a bespoke one could be done to suit your boat, probably best to speak about options. Many thanks
