A pack of 39 cards in a plastic wallet with questions (sometimes pictorial) on one side and the answers on the other.
These Flip Cards depict situations and facts concerning Marine Radiotelephony, the use of which requires the user to hold the appropriate Certificate of Competence. The cards cover equipment and procedures relating to HF, VHF, and MF, including those dealing with the Global maritime Distress and Safety System and Digital Selective Calling.
Seamen wishing to be examined for the General Operators Certificate or the Long Range Certificate will need to learn ALL that is covered by these cards. Yachtsmen sailing within VHF range of the coast may use the Short Range Certificate, but should hold a Long Range Certificate if proceeding outside the VHF Area.
One of a series of 8 subject packs, they are a great way to mug up on those boring but essential aspects of sailing knowledge.
