A pair of Optimist sail battens for racing sails, the tapered end keeps a smooth curve to the sail while the thick end supports the leech.
Supplied over length so you will need to cut them to suit if your sails, this is due to the variation in batten pocket sizes between makers sails, the maximum length according to the class rules is 460mm.
Battens are easily cut at the thick end using a fine tooth saw (like a hacksaw) then smooth any sharp or hard edges with a file or sandpaper, batten has no end caps to keep the best sail shape
