Mirror forestay for the original gunter rig with a mast and gaff with a strop which the jib halyard is hoisted through.
Made of 2.5 mm 1x19 firm strand stainless steel wire with a loop end to go over the mast end and a swaged eye at the other with a 3mm lanyard to make a purchase system through the bow fitting to add rig tension.
